Child Dental Benefit Schedule

The Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS) is a Medicare funded program that allows for up to $1000 of dental treatment over a 2 year period for every 2–17 year old if the family is receiving Family Assistance Tax Benefit A. The CDBS will provide individual benefits for a range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions. As the payment of benefits will be administered through Medicare, using details held by Centrelink or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, you should ensure that your details are up to date.

To update your details with Medicare and find your eligibility, phone the patient helpline on 132 011.
